1. Introduction

WellTechFinds ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Product Image Processing

Product images selected in the WellTechFinds desktop app are processed locally on your Windows PC. Camera orientation is applied before compression, resizing, format conversion, and metadata removal. Your product images are never uploaded for compression.

3. Online Services Used by the App

The desktop app may connect to the following online services for non-compression purposes. Product images are not uploaded for compression.

• Freemius(api.freemius.com) — licence activation and validation. Activation is requested when you enter a licence, and a stored licence may be checked when the app starts. During activation, the app sends your licence key, a randomly generated client identifier, and an installation title containing the email address you entered. Freemius returns an installation ID. The app stores the licence key, email address, client identifier, and installation ID locally, then sends the licence key and identifiers to Freemius when validating the licence.
• Sentry(o4511167356141568.ingest.us.sentry.io) — crash and error reporting. This feature is opt-in and turned off by default. When turned off, the reporting service is not initialised and no diagnostic events are transmitted. When enabled via Settings, a diagnostic report may be sent if the app encounters an unexpected error. Before any event is sent, the app applies filters configured to redact user folder paths, email addresses, recognised licence keys, and URL query strings and fragments. Filenames, non-user folder names, or path fragments may still appear. Product-image contents are not intentionally attached. Diagnostic data sent to this service is pseudonymous, not anonymous. See the Sentry Privacy Policy.
• GitHub Releases (github.com) — periodic update checks, and manual checks when you select Check for updates in the app. The request does not include your product images or licence credentials. GitHub receives standard connection information, such as your IP address and request metadata, as part of serving the update response.

Your control: Crash and error reporting can be turned on or off at any time by toggling "Send optional error reports" under Settings > Privacy in the desktop app. Diagnostic data is only transmitted while this toggle is on. Update checks only retrieve release metadata. An update is not downloaded or installed unless you confirm it.

4. Personal Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

• Name — provided when you purchase our software or contact support.
• Email address — used for order confirmation, license delivery, and customer support.
• Payment information — collected and processed by Freemius, our Merchant of Record (see Section 7).
• Diagnostic data — collected only if you have opted in via Settings. When enabled, this includes error messages, stack traces, the release identifier (welltechfinds@<appVersion>), the production-environment name, operating-system or runtime context, diagnostic breadcrumbs, and a pseudonymous identifier derived from the Freemius install ID. Before transmission, the app applies the redaction filters described in Section 3 (user folder paths, email addresses, recognised licence keys, and URL query strings and fragments). Sentry also receives standard connection data when a report is transmitted. When the toggle is off, no diagnostic data is transmitted.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information only for the following purposes:

• Processing and delivering your software license.
• Sending purchase confirmations and updates about your product.
• Providing customer support when you contact us.
• Complying with legal obligations under Australian law.

6. Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information only with:

• Freemius — our Merchant of Record and licensing provider (see Section 7).
• Sentry — our crash and error-reporting provider.
• GitHub — which hosts app update information and release files.
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Freemius as Merchant of Record

Freemius acts as Merchant of Record for WellTechFinds purchases. It is the seller of record for the transaction and handles checkout, payment collection, applicable transaction taxes, invoicing, and the technical processing of refunds. We receive and assess refund requests under the refund policy stated on this site, then issue approved refunds through Freemius. We do not store or have access to your full payment card details. Please refer to the Freemius Privacy Policy for further information on how they handle your data.

8. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. We and our service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia. Diagnostic data sent to our configured Sentry service is stored in Sentry's United States region. Freemius may process purchase and licensing data in the United States and other countries where it or its service providers operate. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances when disclosing personal information to overseas service providers.

9. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you may ask us to:

• Access your personal information held by us.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated personal information.

You may also ask us to delete information. We will consider the request and delete information where appropriate, subject to legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, licensing, and record-retention obligations. You may lodge a complaint if you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles.

10. Cookies and Tracking

The current public WellTechFinds website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If you follow a checkout link, Freemius hosts that checkout and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy. External sites linked from this website may also apply their own policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
